Frequently Asked Questions

WILL I NEED TO NOTIFY NEIGHBOURS?

Depending on your location, you might be obligated to notify your neighbours of fencing work or request that they contribute if the fence is a dividing fence. Have a look for an online form from your local council for some more information.

BOUNDARY FENCING INFO

If you own a property, you may be required to split the fence payment between you and your neighbour. It’s always best to speak with your neighbour beforehand and go over the process prior to moving forward and ordering a fence to be installed. This way everyone is in agreement and knows what is going on.

DO YOU OFFER WARRANTIES?

Our warranties differ depending on your chosen fence’s material, design, and style. Be sure to speak with one of the Aus Easy Fencing team members about your warranties and how to make the most of your investment. Some warranties may even be transferrable, so make sure you keep a record of all paperwork and information.

HOW DO I PREVENT ROT OR RUST?

You’re able to do this on your own or have one of our team members help you out – to prevent rot, rust or other damage it’s best to paint or stain your fence depending on the material. This way there’s a protective layer over the fence. All in all, timber fences should be stained and steel or iron fences should be painted.

In doing this, you’ll have a fence that remains stylish and new in appearance but is also strong and able to withstand damage from weather and insects.

ARE THERE RULES DURING INSTALLATION?

Prior to and during the installation of your new fence, it’s important that you provide your fencing contractors access to both electricity and water as well as drinks as a courtesy. As your yard will technically become a worksite it’s also important to ensure children are away from the construction zone and any pets are locked in your home or with a friend or family member.

If you’re expecting to be away from your home during parts of the installation, it’s best to notify our team beforehand. It’s also a good idea to allow the team access to electricity and water so your Perth fencing contractors can get on with the job without a hitch.

WHAT IS COLORBOND STEEL?

Colorbond fences are made from a highly durable, non-corrosive steel that features oven-baked paint. This allows it to resist UV damage as well as rust and fire.

WHAT IS AVERAGE ORDER TURNAROUND TIME?

Typically all Aus Quality Fencing’s Colorbond orders are fulfilled within 8 business days. Once our materials arrive we can then begin installing your new fencing.

WHAT COLOURS ARE AVAILABLE ON YOUR COLORBOND FENCES?

We offer all of Colorbond’s 14 colour combinations. If you require a custom colour reach out to us and we’ll determine whether the colour is feasible.

DO YOU OFFER WARRANTIES ON YOUR COLORBOND?

Our warranties differ depending on your chosen fence’s material, design, and style. IS STEEL BETTER THAN ALUMINIUM?

This depends on the type of steel being used. In general, untreated steel can lose strength over time and is also susceptible to rusting and other weather damage. This means you’re more likely to replace a steel fence than an aluminium one.

WHAT ARE YOUR COLOUR OPTIONS FOR ALUMINIUM FENCES?

We currently offer a number standard colour options, however, custom colours are available to those who reach out to us and make a request. Keep in mind that all custom colour requests will need to be approved by our manufacturers as some colours may not be currently available.

DO YOU OFFER WARRANTIES ON ALUMINIUM FENCES?

All Aus Quality Fencing aluminium fences are protected under a lifetime warranty for defects caused by poor workmanship or material faults. Under proper use, your aluminium fence will not rust, crack, blister, peel or show signs of weathering for at least a decade.
